2018 Australian Open Tennis Odds – Kyrgios shortens for Open

January 9, 2018

nick kyrgiosThe 2018 Australian Open of tennis will be held from Monday 15th to Sunday 28th January 2018 at Melbourne Park in Melbourne with Australian Nick Kyrgios attracting plenty of punter’s money.

Online bookmaker Sportsbet reports that more money has been wagered on Kyrgios than any other player to win the Australian Open.

A $40,000 bet on the enigmatic Aussie brought his price in from $21.00 to $17.00, but his recent Brisbane International win now has Kyrgios at $13.00, sixth favourite for the first grand Slam of the year.

Reigning champion Roger Federer is the only other player punters are interested in, and the Swiss maestro had his price cut from $3.25 to $2.75 after a faultless display at the Hopman Cup.

“Nick Kyrgios was a $26 chance at the start of the summer, but his price has more than halved after a great week in Brisbane, and the punters are coming from everywhere now,” said Sportsbet’s Christian Jantzen.
