Punters lining up for Vega Magic in 2017 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley

October 23, 2017

vega magicPunters have come for Lindsay Park sprinter Vega Magic in this Friday night’s Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Vega Magic is $2.80 favourite with online bookmaker Sportsbet, from In Her Time $5.50 and Chautauqua $7.50.

If the betting trend continues Vega Magic could start much shorter in the $1,000,000 Group 1 event.

The 5yo gelding currently holds three-times more money than In Her Time and seven-times more than 2015 Manikato Stakes winner Chautauqua.

Next in betting at $11.00 is Group 1 Stradbroke winner Impending.

“Vega Magic was the unlucky runner when wide throughout and second to Redzel in The Everest,” said Sportsbet’s Will Byrne.

“He was well backed that day and it appears punters are willing to forgive as the money just keeps rolling in for him.”
