2016 Brownlow Medal Odds – Dangerfield all the rage

September 23, 2016

patrick dangerfieldPatrick Dangerfield is all the rage in latest 2016 Brownlow Medal odds at online bookmaker Sportsbet.

After earlier paying out customers who backed Dangerfield to win the Brownlow, they’re set for another big payout if the Geelong star takes home the coveted award as punters expected.

Dangerfield is the $1.18 favourite and holds more than half the money bet on the Brownlow Medal market.

The biggest bet taken on him was $20,000 at odds of $2.75 for a return of $55,000. Other big stakes include $15,000 at $1.22, $11,000 at $1.22 and a couple of $10,000 bets at $1.25.

The smallest wager, would you believe, was 1c at the not so juicy odds of $1.25. A win’s a win, right?

After opening at $9.00, Dangerfield got out to as much as $10, however only 11 punters were able to grab that price with the biggest bet $50.

For anyone looking for an upset, Richmond’s Dustin Martin is the second favourite, and second most popular way back at $15 ahead of Sydney’s Luke Parker at $18.

“Punters worked out pretty quickly that Patty Dangerfield was going to win the Brownlow and only one of the greatest sporting upsets in memory will deny them a collect,” said Sportsbet’s Christian Jantzen.
