Yankee Rose has pricked punters attention for 2016 Golden Rose

September 8, 2016

sydney racingFilly Yankee Rose has been well backed for the 2016 Golden Rose at Rosehill on Saturday 10th September, coming in from $9.00 into $7.50 with online bookmaker Sportsbet.

The David Vandyke-trained Group 1 winner in the autumn is holding nine times more backing than second favourite Astern, who is another firmer, in from $4.00 into $3.80.

Omei Sword, the ruling Golden Rose Favourite, has eased slightly from $3.50 out to $3.60.

The $34 outsider, Mediterranean, has also been well backed for the Golden Rose.

“Yankee Rose is a Group 1 winner and finished second in the Golden Slipper. She’s had an interrupted preparation and goes into the race first-up, but punters are willing to overlook that,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Bulmer.
