Australia backed to beat Serbia in Olympic Men’s Basketball Semi-Finals

August 18, 2016

boomers basketballAustralia take on Serbia while the USA do battle with Spain in the Rio Olympics Basketball semi-finals.

The Boomers have been installed as $1.53 favourites to defeat Serbia in their basketball semi-final, which would catapult the Australians into the gold medal match.

Serbia are the $2.37 outsiders with online bookmaker Sportsbet after overcoming fierce rival Croatia in their quarter-final.
70% of the money has gone on Aussie Jarred Tallent in tomorrow night’s 50km walk.

Tallent is on the third line of betting at $5.00 behind Matej Toth $3.75 and Yohann Diniz $4.00.

But before that, Canoeists Ken Wallace and Lachlan Tame are the third favourites at $6.00 for tonight’s final of the K2 1000m event. Germany looks the team to beat at $1.80.

“As soon as we opened the Boomers v Serbia market, punters only wanted to back the Aussies and they deserve their favouritism. We’ll all be cheering for Spain to knock off USA in the other semi,” said’s Christian Jantzen.
