2015 Kingston Town Classic odds – Magic Artist well backed

November 30, 2015

sydney racingThe 2015 Kingston Town Classic will light up Ascot racecourse in Perth on Saturday and online bookmaker Sportsbet is reporting one-way traffic for German import Magic Artist in Saturday’s Kingston Town Classic at Ascot.

The Andreas Wohler trained five-year-old is $4.00 second favourite and pressuring Perfect Reflection $3.80 for outright favouritism in the $1,000,000 Group 1 race.

Magic Artist finished fourth in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes at Flemington in his most recent outing and will appreciate the step up to 1800 metres on Saturday.

The South Australian Oaks and Derby winner Delicacy is on the third line at $4.40.

The Grant Williams trained mare will be looking to improve on her last start sixth in the Group 1 Railway Stakes.

Next in betting is Real Love $6.00, who finished just behind Delicacy in the Railway, and Black Heart Bart $8.00, who ran fourth, almost one length ahead of those two.

“Magic Artist ran some nice races in elite company over the spring, so it’s not surprising there is a strong move for him,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.

“The German invader holds more than double the money of Perfect Reflection, who is third best supported, with Delicacy the second most popular.”
