moonee-valley-racesThe 2015 Manikato Stakes is set to light up Moonee Valley on Friday night and if weight of money is any guide smart mare Srikandi is poised to run a big race in the Group 1 feature.

The Ciaron Maher trained Srikandi $4.60 is the best backed runner with online bookmaker Sportsbet.

Classy Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes sprinter Chautauqua $1.90 is a short priced favourite, but he remains the second most popular runner with punters.

The Moir Stakes winner, Buffering, from the Robert Heathcote yard, is firm at $8.00, while Terravista $5.50 and Angelic Light $10.00 have admirers.

“She wintered in Brisbane and has a great first-up record, so she has to be one of the main chances.”
