Perth Summer Carnival
The 2011 Perth Summer Racing Carnival takes place at Ascot racecourse from late October through to the end of December and is highlighted by the $1,000,000 Group 1 Railway Stakes in November and the $500,000 Group 1 Kingston Town Classic in December.
Other major races during the summer carnival are the $500,000 Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes which is now held on Super Saturday alongside the Railway Stakes, while the $400,000 Group 2 Perth Cup is always a huge social occasion to bring in the new year in Perth and will be held on Saturday 31st December this year.
