A-League Round 3 Odds and Preview – Season 2010/2011
By Beejay on Aug 20, 2010 with Comments 0
Round 3 of the 2010/2011 A-League season should answer a few questions and it kicks off on Friday night at Hindmarsh Stadium with Adelaide United at home to new entity Melbourne Heart with both sides looking for their first win of the new season.
The A-League ladder after 2 rounds has Perth Glory, North Queensland Fury and Central Coast Mariners level on top with four points while down the bottom on just one point is is new team Melbourne Heart and last year’s Grand Finalists Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory.
A-League Round 3 preview
Adelaide United $2.20 are well fancied at IASbet to get the points over Melbourne Heart $3.10 on Friday night and with the game being played at Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide a likely home win is on the cards if not a draw.
Five goals in two games and a big win away from home over the Victory last weekend sees Perth Glory $1.75 go in at a very short quote to take care of the Newcastle Jets $4.50 at NIB Stadium on Saturday afternoon and one would expect them to get the points against the Sydney outfit.
The Brisbane Roar $2.80 will host Sydney FC $2.38 at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday evening and this is a game where Sydney would be expected to get the points but the Roar at home will be out to impress and are capable of taking this to a draw in front of their home crowd.
At Westpac Stadium on Sunday afternoon in New Zealand the Wellington Phoenix $1.91 will be at home to the Central Coast Mariners $4.00 in what should be a good clash. The Phoenix found the net three times in their season opening draw against the Gold Coast and will be looking for the three points here against the Mariners.
The final match of the round pits the winless Melbourne Victory $1.73 against an in-form North Queensland Fury $4.75 who have scored five goals in their two games this season and are going around over the odds here on their early season form.
