A-League Round 2 Odds and Preview – Season 2010/2011
By Beejay on Aug 11, 2010 with Comments 0
Round 2 of the 2010/2011 A-League season should be a cracker after the first round produced a couple of six goal thrillers to kick in the new season of domestic football in Australia.
New team Melbourne Heart suffered a 1-0 loss to the Central Cost Mariners in their first ever game in the league and Round 2 will see the Phoenix return to action for the new season.
Wellington Phoenix $2.30 will play their first game of the new season when they host Gold Coast United $2.90 at Westpac Stadium on Friday night and at home should be able to snare the win.
On the same night at EnergyAustralia Stadium, new team Melbourne Heart $2.80 will travel for the first time to take on the Newcastle Jets $2.38 and might find the Newcastle outfit a hard team to get past on their home turf..
Reigning premier Sydney FC $1.91 fly north to take on the Nth Queensland Fury $3.75 on Saturday afternoon and one would expect Sydney to be too strong for the Queenslaners.
Melbourne Victory $1.91 host their first game at AAMI Park this season when they welcome Perth Glory $3.75 to the cauldron and this has all the makings of a high scoring affair that could well end up a draw and the Glory appear great value at those odds.
The final game of the round pits Central Coast Mariners $2.20 up against Adelaide United $3.10 at Bluetongue Stadium and we fancy the Mariners to run out winners here.
