After one of the most widely-anticipated decisions in sports history, online bookmaker Sportsbet has installed the Miami Heat as $4.00 favourites for the 2010/11 NBA Championship after securing the services of LeBron James.
Their quote was halved from $8.00 after the James announcement, while the Lakers have eased out from $3.75 to $4.25 on the back of the news.
“The Heat now with James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh look like they’ll beat whoever they please next season,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane.
LeBron James has confirmed he will be joining the Miami Heat.
The 25-year-old was formerly with Cleveland Cavaliers but has decided to sign with Miami as a free agent and the Heat looks set to be a major NBA championship contender next season.
