Germany and Argentina met in the quarter finals of the 2006 World Cup where Germany won on penalties after the game finished in a 1-1 draw. Argentina have the better recent head to head record over Germany winning three matches and avoiding defeat in their last seven meetings.
Argentina vs Germany prediction
There has been much to like about both teams in this tournament and Argentina have produced some quality displays in the group stage and then they were outstanding in their 3-1 win over Brazil to make it to this stage.
Germany scored clinical wins over both Australia and England scoring 4 goals in each match to setup what should be an enthralling match against the South Americans.
We fancy the experience of Argentina will prove too strong for the youth of Germany and the important midfield battle favours Argentina with the likes of Messi and co which is where this game is likely to be won.

Paraguay vs Spain prediction
Paraguay have only conceded one goal this tournament which was against Italu in their first match but on the flip side they have been unable to score themselves in their last two matches against New Zealand and Japan, including an extra 30 minutes extra-time against the Japanese in the Round of 16 game.
Spain have improved sharply with each match and they have found the net 5 times in their past three matches while controlling games with their brilliant passing skills.
We think Paraguay are going to find it awfully hard to score against a Spain side not far from their best and the Spaniard’s ability to control the play make them likely victors in this encounter.
