Leading online bookmaker Sportsbet has refunded bets placed on Nicolas Mahut following his gallant defeat at the hands of John Isner in their record breaking 70-68 final set at Wimbledon this week.
Sportsbet were not holding a great deal on Mahut, but in true Sportsbet style they felt punters who backed him surely deserved their money back after riding the rollercoaster with him for three days.
Sportsbet’s Haydn Lane said “We hope those who did back Mahut are not nail biters – there’d be nothing left!”

Nadal has shortened into $2.75 after being as long as $3.55, while Federer has eased from $2.25 to $3.30.
