The 2010 Melbourne Cup Carnival promises to be the most exciting yet, with this year’s Melbourne Cup being the 150th running of the world’s richest handicap race at Flemington racecourse in Melbourne.
Throughout the 150th celebratory year for the Melbourne Cup, a number of events and activities will take place across the globe to celebrate Australia’s most spectacular sporting and cultural event.
The four day Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington is a one-week long , four day extravaganza of thoroughbred racing action that attracts crowds of almost 400,000 people to the four scheduled race meetings.
